Fall is officially here, and my mood has just skyrocketed. There is nothing better than winding through Mountain Brook on the hunt for a pumpkin-y drink with the windows down, the crisp air and smell of fall flowing in, and the trees boasting the most gorgeously colored leaves imaginable. Raise a mug of apple cider to toast the ushering in of pumpkin, plaid, scarves, tights, sweaters, tweed, and more mapley goodness than your waistline can deal with. Let the euphoria commence.

I guess it kind of goes without being said, but I've taken a few months off from regular blogging. I've taken some much needed time to think, reflect, and grow personally & professionally, but Fall just puts me in the spirit to get back to social network socializing. Pumpkins, spice & everything nice are poppin' up all over Pinterest and Tumblr, and I'm in tweed & Bean Boot heaven. These are some of my favorite pictures that have me longing for a cozy fireplace & a cable knit anything. Consider this Part I of many Fall related posts. My thumbs are numb from repinning and reblogging all things autumn.

The leaves are officially the colors of a Thanksgiving spread, and the air is reaching a nice, crisp temperature-- time to pull out the tweed. Nothing looks sharper in the winter than a dose of tweed, whether jacket, dress, skirt or shoes. Harris Tweed, being the most famous, hails from Scotland, where it was originally hand-woven by the islanders. My kind of island wear. Throw on a piece, pour some scotch, and transport yourself into fall.
