This semester, I'm sharpening my social media skills in JMC 492, also known as Social Media Practices. This week's task was a case study on a company and their social media success, and my example is Burberry. I learned a lot about the company – if you follow me on Twitter, then you know about the little incident I had with Burberry's social media director – so it was great to learn about what an awesome digital enterprise the company has created. Yesterday, I watched Breakfast at Tiffany's about a million times. It's one of my favorite movies, and Truman Capote's novella happens to be one of my most favorites as well. If Audrey Hepburn were alive today, she would be happy to know that the classic trench is still as relevant today as it was then and that Holly Golightly has inspired generations of women (and crafters). What girl doesn't love a dose of pink, a handful of baubles, and a saucer of champagne? Quelle question!
It's the first day of April, and it has been ushered in by a full week of rain here in Birmingham (aka "the Seattle of the South"). We have to have the rain to make those greens green and those flowers flower, so what better way to start off the month than shopping for the cutest umbrellas to keep you dry during the drizzliest month of the year?
