frankly, my dear...

We're watching Gone with the Wind today in Southern Women.  I know that generations of fellow southerners will burn me at the stakes for saying this, but I. hate. this. movie.  It gives us a bad name and has completely exaggerated and idealized a time period in which maybe 10% of plantations actually looked like Tara.  MAYBE.  Ok. Getting off of soapbox before I get hate mail.
That being said, I do love a good idyllic antebellum plantation, and "Tara" is no exception.  So I'll be totin' my sweet tea down to Brock Forum for a three day reprieve from note taking.  Sounds good.

    Are you certain that you are my daughter? Not loving "Gone With the Wind" is a no no.
    Aside from this, have a wonderful time. How I would love have three class to watch this movie that I have seen maybe 25 times.

    Ahhh, I can't believe you don't like this movie! I'm making my northern friends watch this with me next week, because they've never seen it and it's one of my all-time favorites!
